What's cooking?

Bella has gotten a new play kitchen that makes different cooking/ frying/ grilling noise, and she absolutely LOVES it! She's been busy firing up the grill, making some coffee and even doing dishes.

It looks like Brian has some stiff grilling competition!

I know I'm a week late in posting this, but it's been busy around here!

Father's Day was June 21 and it was Brian's 2nd Father's Day. Bella woke early on Sunday and was VERY excited to give Daddy the 2nd card she made for him. (The first card was made at the library on Thursday and Daddy proudly keeps it in his office). We also made a plaster mold of her hand in a heart-shape frame, of course with LOTS of help from Mommy.

Icecream Social

Bella and I hosted an icecream social playdate with 8 of her little toddler friends. We served vanilla icecream and all of the friends brought a topping to share. YUMMY! Bella's icecream had strawberries and Oreo cookies, while mine had delicious reese's cups.

The kids ate icecream and then headed to the splashpad & pool to wash off. :) I didn't get too many good pictures because it was quite busy keeping up with sticky kids....and they were too busy eating icecream to look at the camera for me.

Bella's First Haircut

This afternoon was definitely bittersweet for me. My "baby" girl got her first haircut. She needed more than trim, and now she looks like a big girl. It's a bob-style cut, so it's a bit shorter for summertime. She did great in the chair and only started fussing at the end.

Fun times with Aunt Krissy!

We have just returned from dropping Kristin off at the airport after a 3 day visit. Bella has LOVED playing tea-tea (tea party) with Aunt Krissy/ DeeDee, so she was a bit disappointed that she wasn't here when we got home. She was confused and brought me the tea cup saying "DeeDee"....like "Where's DeeDee? It's time for tea".

While Aunt Krissy was here, we enjoyed some outside water fun. They ran through the crazy wiggle water sprinklers and lounged in the palm tree pool. Bella was very clear telling Dada & DeeDee that she wanted them in her pool.

Brian took Tuesday off, so we all headed to Jump N Jungle for a bouncin' good time. It was very nice to have help chasing Bella and carrying her up on the big slides. Fun was had by all! It was great to see Brian & Kristin racing through the obstacle course and playing with Bella.

Playing with Carson

One of Bella's favorite friends, Carson, lives nearby and came over today while his mom enjoyed some kid-free time at the spa. Bella was SOOO excited when Carson arrived and kept yelling "Caca, Caca, Caca"!!! (Sometimes it comes out CarCar, we're still working on it).

Playtime started with Bella grabbing her purse, getting in the hippo, and saying "bye bye". Where was she going?!? Carson quickly figured out his job was to push her around. Awww.

...and he was really good at pushing her around too.

Splish, Splash Water Playdate!

Today, Bella & I hosted our first ever WATER playdate! Oh...what FUN! We had 2 pools set up, a splash pad and the water wiggles sprinkler. We had over 10 of Bella's toddler friends come over to play, and we had a great time splashing in the water with them.
