Grandparents Invasion

Bella (and us too!) had a wonderful week with her Grandma & Grandpa Macias visiting from Albuqueruqe. We met them at Zios on Tuesday night for a delicious dinner, and Bella was a little shy at first but didn't take her long. (It had been 3 months since their last visit). Wednesday we went for a long walk and enjoyed a Starbucks treat along the way.

Thursday was a fun lunch with just me, Bella & Grandma at Rachel's Tea Cottage. Bella ate a heart-shaped PB&J with goldfish and milk...can it get any better??? Then, Grandma spoiled her rotten at Target by buying her TWO pairs of shoes (she loves shoes!!!), bought her a doggy backpack, and the cutest garden chair to sit on the patio with us. I think Bella is learning the benefits of her charm and sweetness, Grammy (and Grandpa) was wrapped. :)

Friday we started the day off with a delicious breakfast at Dennys and then headed to Galveston. Bella enjoyed the Moody Gardens Aquarium and the penguins were by far her favorite.

After checking out the Aquarium, we headed to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch.

Saturday Bella stayed home with her grandparents while we enjoyed a very rare date night! We met up with friends for dinner and then went to a comedy show. What FUN!

Happy St. Patricks' Day!

We celebrated St. Patty's Day with friends at playdate. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed LOTS of green foods and treats. Here's a picture of Bella in the car and playing with Oliver.

After we got home and Bella had a good nap, it was time to enjoy the beautiful weather and ride bikes. Bella did great keeping her helmet on and loves riding on Daddy's bike.

Then, she wanted to ride HER bike. Such a big girl.

Day Trip to Beaumont

We drove to Beaumont on Saturday to visit Grandma, who is still in a rehab center after her surgery. It was nice to visit with her and she's doing much better.
We also enjoyed eating lunch with some family too!

Chalkboard Projects

We have found a new way to recycle some of the old furniture we were getting ready to toss out. Bella LOVES playing with her sidewalk chalk, so we made her 2 chalkboards for her playroom. Plus, the table has a shelf that is perfect for storing the chalk & eraser.

The 'original' table getting sanded down. (This was MY bedside table growing up!)

Bella opening up the chalk to give it a test-draw!

Yep, it works! Bella doodling with her chalk.

This is the other project that will be mounted on the wall. It's an original kitchen cabinet door that was replaced because the finish didn't match the other cabinets. What else would you do with a leftover cabinet door???

Visiting Peter Cottontail

Today we met the Easter bunny at the park to take pictures with Bella, and she would have nothing to do with him!!! She sat there about 15 seconds and then started to cry. Since she would not go anywhere near him, we didn't get any good pictures with the bunny.

(This is as close as she would get....about 10 feet from him).

Not happy

She wanted to be held the entire time because she was scared of the Bunny.

A VERY happy Bella leaving Bunny at the park!

I'm hoping the photographer snapped a few better pictures of the inital 15 seconds with the Bunny, but doubt there's anything after that.

Rodeo time...Yeehaw!

The Houston Livestock & Rodeo opened yesterday, so we went to check it out today! Here's Bella getting pretty for the rodeo....yes, that's my headband and makeup brush.

We met up with some of our friends...9 toddlers to be exact!

We saw a demonstration of a cow bring milked, and this picture is of Bella & Aiden in front of the cow display.

They had a bunch of exhibits of rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, and cows. Bella was only comfortable petting a small bunny.

After checking out the animals, it was time for a snack. What rodeo visit can be complete without chowing down a corndog???

Before leaving, we went in to the petting area and Bella was very nervous because some of the little goats were jumping up. She had a great time as long as Mommy was holding her.

We had a great time at the rodeo! It is going to be in town for a few more weeks, so I'm sure we'll get to go again.
