Baby Einstein

I took Bella to storytime at the library this week, and I realized they have books, music & videos in the baby section that we could check out. I assumed they wouldn't loan anything out to the little droolers who still chew on everything. Anyway, we borrowed a few CDs and videos.

I put in the Baby Einstein video called Baby's First Moves and I didn't really expect Bella to watch it more than a few minutes. She LOVED it! She was happily content with her juice, Bay Bay and the video for about 15 minutes. (Plenty of time for me to grab the camera).
In the next picture, she's copying the baby waving in the video.
Next up is the baby jazz CDs....

How bad do you want it?

Yesterday we went to Chick-fil-A for dinner because 1) I didn't want to cook and 2) they had a free chicken special running. Brian ordered his usual unsweetened tea and Bella is always wanting whatever we have. He told her that if she could drink it from the straw, then she could have some. He said "how bad do you want it?"

Well, she looked at the straw, chewed it a bit, then started sucking! Yep- she drank from a straw for the first time. Guess she showed Daddy how bad she wanted some tea!

Ugliest Mug in the World

I went with a group of friends for MNO (Moms Night Out) to paint pottery at The Painted Potter. First, I picked a nice mug to paint as a gift for my sister's birthday. Next was picking colors and a design. Then, the painting began!

I was pretty confident that I had chosen complimentary paint colors and simple enough design that my $20 coffee mug would be a creative gift for Michelle. Haha- oh boy, was I WRONG! The colors I picked from the bottles are clearly NOT the same as on the finished product. There is no way that I'll be giving this to her because she will definitely laugh hysterically at my painting attempt. Hmmm, maybe I can tell her Bella painted it for her???

Finally conceding to the blog world

I have decided to create a family blog, and I'm hoping it will be a great way to keep in touch with everyone. There *might* be the occassional post by Brian, but let's be real and not hold our breath on that one. I'm sure most of the posts will be done by me, .... or maybe even Bella once she learns to type. Hey- she's a quick learner!

Anyway, it'll be a little rough until we get this whole blogging thing figured out. So, please pack some patience before you decide to drop in on our page. :)
