I took Bella to the Houston Zoo for the first time today, and I think she really enjoyed it. It probably also helped that her boyfriends (Carson & Brayden) were there too!

New swing set
Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for the swing set for Bella's birthday....she LOVES it!
She's always been a little nervous swinging at the park, maybe because it is high or maybe it is just uncomfortable. So, we didn't expect her to enjoy the swing at first, but much to our surprise, she loved it!

1 Year Appointment
I took Bella on Wednesday for her 12 month checkup. (I waited until all the bday fun was over and all the visiting family had left). She weighed in at 24lbs 15oz (93%) and she is 30-1/2" tall (90%). They wanted to give her 5 vaccines, but we opted for only giving her 2. She will have to return at 15 months for the others, but I just thought that was too many for one visit.

Even after her appt & shots, she was still quite the silly girl. In the picture below, she's just cracking up laughing over her spilled puffs.

Party Time!
Bella has had quite the time celebrating her birthday! We hosted a baby playdate on Thursday (her actual bday) and had 6 baby friends come over for cupcakes & drinks. She wasn't too sure about the cupcake at first, but it didn't take her too long to figure out it was tasty.

Then, we celebrated her birthday again on Saturday with family and close friends. She received some great presents and her favorite of them all is her new purse. It came with keys, mirror, lipstick and somehow my makeup brush ended up in there too! Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated Bella's birthday!

Fun to be ONE!
My precious Isabella turned one today! It is kinda sad for me to realize my baby girl is growing so fast and isn't a baby anymore. (She will ALWAYS be my baby, though). But, it's also very exciting to see her learning and exploring, but I want to freeze time for a bit to enjoy the sweet moments a little longer.

Labor....ONE year ago!
It has been one year since the day I went into labor for Bella! You may be thinking, "Isn't Bella's birthday Oct 9 and today is only Oct 7?" Yes, you'd be correct.
I checked into Womens Hospital of TX at 7pm Sunday evening and she was born at 5:38am on Tuesday morning. This lovely picture is of me right before we left the house for the hospital. (I was only 38 weeks, but princess Bella was weighing close to 9lbs!)

Don't I look so happy and excited to be having a baby??? If only I knew what lied ahead for delivery....26 hours of labor and a c-section.

Pretending we're at Disney World
Bella woke up on the wrong side of the crib this morning! She was a grumpy bear from the second she woke up, so I knew it was going to be a "fun" day. While attempting to check email this morning, she kept trying to pull me out of the chair. I thought she just wanted me to hold her, but NOOO, she actually wanted me out of the chair!

She was genuinely happy when she finally got the chair....
Then I came up with the brilliant idea that we were at Disney World and she was riding the Tea Cups. True, the office chair doesn't have any cool paintings on it, but she really didn't seem to care. I spun her (slowly, of course!) one direction and then the opposite direction. I was a little worried she'd get too dizzy, but how could I tell since she still walks a bit wobbly???

She was having a great time, and I enjoyed she wasn't being cranky!
